About Me

Hi there, I'm Madeleine! I'm a UX designer and artist based in Oakland, CA. I'm passionate about utilizing my diverse background and skill set to craft intuitive digital experiences that empower users and foster positive change.

Raised amidst the vibrant tapestry of San Francisco, I've long been fascinated by the interplay between humans and their surroundings. This curiosity manifested in my senior thesis at the Maryland Institute College of Art, where I delved into the intricate dynamics of urban landscapes through a textile-focused lens. I've expanded upon this fascination with human motivation throughout my various careers, from teaching English in Spain to crafting immersive science museum exhibits upon my return to the US.

At the core of my design practice lies a dedication to digital accessibility and equity, whether collaborating with local businesses or international nonprofits. Specializing in crafting seamless experiences for both desktop and mobile applications, I also excel in developing scalable design systems and brand identities. With an eye for detail and a passion for innovation, I'm committed to elevating consistency, accessibility, and visual appeal across all my projects.

When I'm not designing you can find me exploring dog-friendly trails in the East Bay with Bob, my chihuahua mix, or immersed in my latest creative pursuit in my studio. If you're inclined to connect over coffee or explore collaboration opportunities, feel free to drop me a line or find me on LinkedIn!
